It looks like it is about to happen.  The self-serving interests of the two dominant political companies...er, ah...parties... have finally taken us to the cliff.  The fiscal cliff.

Irrespective of what is generally agreed will be a financial disaster for the country, Democrats and Republicans have once again put their party interests and ideologies ahead of the will and needs of the American people.  On top of that, of course, both are doing their best to blame...wait for it.... the other guys.

How much longer will the American people tolerate this kind of behavior from our elected officials?  How much longer will we tolerate the self-serving narcissism of our politicians?  If the two political parties can not conduct the business of our government, then they both must go!

I believe that the time is long past for the rise of a new political party in this country - a party that has neither a conservative or liberal view but, rather, one that is centrist in its outlook...one that is moderate in the same way that the American people are moderate.

We need a political party that will, not take money from corporations.  A party that represents the interests of the working class people of this country.  We need a political party that is dedicated in its bylaws to the principals of reason, compromise-in-the-interest-of-progress and, well, progress.

I don't see a party like this out there.  I guess I'm going to have to start it myself.
